Doug Von Feldt has over 20 years of experience leading projects and change initiatives in industries including manufacturing, distribution, education, and retail.  He has held senior leadership positions including chief information officer at two different organizations, along with other leadership roles in the areas of continuous improvement, innovation, project management, and operations. Doug’s current work focuses on helping organizations become more profitable by aligning work processes, people, and culture to achieve operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

Lean Six Sigma White Belt

This two-hour introductory session—known as the White Belt level—explores the purpose and benefits of Lean Six Sigma. Participants gain a high-level understanding of the DMAIC problem-solving framework: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. The session walks through each phase, emphasizing how solutions are tied to root causes and lead to consistent, reliable, and sustainable improvements.
Along the way, participants are introduced to key tools and techniques such as Voice of the Customer, project charters, process mapping, measurement plans, charts, and idea generation strategies. The session also includes a brief overview of Lean principles and how they complement Six Sigma methodologies.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

This comprehensive course provides an in-depth exploration of the DMAIC framework, equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills to apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies directly to real-world projects. Designed for those leading or supporting process improvement teams, the curriculum emphasizes hands-on application, data-driven analysis, and strategic problem-solving.

Aligned with the Green Belt body of knowledge defined by Washburn University, the program includes approximately 72 hours of classroom instruction, supplemented by targeted homework assignments that reinforce key concepts.

Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will receive a certificate from Crimson Corporation recognizing 80 professional development hours

Lean Thinking Principles

This two-day introductory Lean Thinking course is the foundation program of Lean and its methodologies. The main goal of the Lean course is to provide an introduction to Lean Thinking and how it can be used by individuals and teams to improve customer satisfaction, reduce errors, increase efficiencies, and work more effectively with teams to solve problems.  With this foundation of knowledge and skills, participants can progress to more advanced levels of Lean.
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt

This two-day introductory course lays the groundwork for understanding Lean Six Sigma principles and practices. Designed as the foundational level, the Yellow Belt program introduces participants to the core concepts of Lean and Six Sigma and how these methodologies can be applied to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce errors, boost efficiency, and foster effective team-based problem solving.

Through 15 hours of interactive training, individuals gain practical tools and insights that prepare them to contribute to improvement initiatives and serve as a stepping stone toward more advanced Lean Six Sigma certifications.

Participants who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion from Crimson Corporation, recognizing 15 professional development hours.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

The Black Belt course is designed for professionals seeking mastery in Lean Six Sigma theory, strategy, and advanced tools. Through rigorous application and analysis, participants develop the expertise to lead complex improvement projects and gain the skills to teach and mentor others in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

This advanced-level program offers in-depth coverage of key topics, including:

  • Value stream mapping
  • Advanced statistical theory and hypothesis testing
  • Design of experiments (DOE)
  • Advanced Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
  • Project management for large-scale initiatives
  • Coaching and mentoring process improvement teams
  • History and theory of quality
  • Advanced Lean tools and implementation strategies
  • Use of advanced Minitab features

To earn the Black Belt Certificate of Completion from Crimson Corporation, participants must successfully complete a capstone project demonstrating applied proficiency.

The course includes approximately 40 hours of classroom instruction, plus an additional 40 hours of online coursework and homework assignments. Upon fulfilling all program requirements, participants will receive a certificate recognizing 80 professional development hours.

Lean Thinking in Healthcare

This two-day foundational course introduces participants to Lean Thinking and its core methodologies, tailored specifically for healthcare environments. Designed for individuals and teams, the program explores how Lean principles can be applied to improve patient satisfaction, reduce errors, streamline processes, and enhance collaboration across departments.

Through real-world examples drawn from diverse clinical settings and patient pathways, participants gain practical insights into using Lean tools to solve problems and drive meaningful improvements in care delivery.
